Austria

Austria, a country known for its magnificent and breathtaking landscape, is located in the heart of Europe and is dominated by the Alps. The most famous cities are Vienna and Salzburg. There you can try the delicious “Sachertorte” and the popular “Mozartkugel”. Don’t miss Austria when you travel through Europe.

The capital is Vienna, famous for its many castles and of course the Prater. The highest mountain is the “Gross Glockner” with a height of 3798m. It belongs to the mountain group “Hohe Tauern”.  Via the pass road you reach the “Gross Glockner” glacier.

Bordering countries are Slovenia and Italy in the south, Switzerland in the west, Hungary and Slovakia in the east, the Czech Republic and Germany in the north. Austria belongs to the European Union and Schengen. The official currency is the euro.
